SET GRUP JOINT VENTURE has undertaken the second runway investment at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, one of Turkey’s important gateways to the world and serving more than 35 million passengers annually.

On the runway with a total length of 3.5 km, a special production will be constructed by covering the existing open tunnel with filling in an area of ​​500 meters. As a result, thanks to the two-runway operation, the hourly flight capacity of the airport will increase from 40 landings/takeoffs to 80 landings/takeoffs.

The superstructure works of all the parts of the runway that have been filled and will be filled within this area will be carried out by AYHANLAR YOL ASFALTLAMA SANAYİ VE TİCARET ANONİM ŞİRKETİ as a subcontractor. The completion date of the work has been determined as 30.08.2023.
